Our May Meeting
For a
different twist, we decided on a breakfast supper for this meeting. This meal
was complete with Country Ham,
Sausage, Scrambled Eggs, Grits, Hash
Browns, Sausage Gravy & Red Eye Gravy….Oh yeah, and buttermilk
biscuits! Most everyone participated in the food prep. Talk about a “
Cracker Barrel ain’t got nothing’ on us! Even made a tray of homemade Brownies.

As the
meeting proceeded, we somehow, and for some reason, took turns squattin’ down
and smellin’ a Dickel barrel bung hole.
Believe it or not, We now have a simple tradition we call the “Smellin’ Of The
Hole”. What was even better, we took a small
portion from the barrel and proposed a toast. Yep, you guessed it “To The Hole”
It funny just how little it takes to keep us amused!

Earlier This Month
A
handful of us took off on the bikes to enjoy a few days on the Outer Banks of
unable to make the Ferry. The rain come on us in the middle of nowhere, and
soaked us good! It still promoted a laugh
or two. Ran across this nice little lady that wanted her picture taken on a
bike!

Thanks
to a couple of special friends, we were able to get a pic of Darius Rucker with
a “Red Cup”.
(Thanks Jeff & Lisa Cranfill)

We
called this month a success! It appears we will be meeting at Keith’s
He invited us down for a cookout!
